Harness Delivery
Harness is an enterprise software delivery platform built for organizations that need more structure around their deployment process than GitHub Actions or GitLab CI provide alone — canary rollouts, governance policies, deployment templates enforced across teams, cost visibility, and DORA metrics out of the box. We implement and configure Harness pipelines for teams that need that level of control.
Capabilities
What we do with Harness
Progressive delivery
Canary and Blue/Green Deployments
Harness CD pipelines that implement canary rollouts (gradually shifting traffic to the new version) and blue/green deployments (switching all traffic at once with instant rollback), with automatic rollback on health check failure.
Standardized delivery
Pipeline Templates
Harness pipeline templates that enforce organization-wide delivery standards — required approval stages, mandatory scan steps, notification configuration — while allowing service teams to customize within defined parameters.
Policy enforcement
Governance with OPA
Open Policy Agent (OPA) policies in Harness that enforce deployment governance: required pipeline stages, approved artifact sources, environment access controls, and audit trail requirements.
AWS · GCP · Azure
Multi-cloud Deployment
Harness pipelines that deploy to multiple cloud providers or multiple accounts within a provider, with environment-specific connectors, infrastructure definitions, and approval requirements.
Deployment analytics
DORA Metrics and Dashboards
Harness dashboards for DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate, time to restore service) across the organization's service portfolio.
Platform migration
Migration from Jenkins or Spinnaker
Migrating complex Jenkins or Spinnaker pipelines to Harness, preserving the deployment logic while gaining Harness's governance, rollback, and analytics capabilities.
Our approach
Harness solves organizational complexity
Harness earns its complexity for organizations with many services, many teams, and real governance requirements. For a team shipping one service to one environment, GitHub Actions is the simpler and correct choice. We recommend Harness when the organizational problem is real.
Templates over copy-paste pipelines
The power of Harness at scale is pipeline templates that standardize delivery across many services. A template defined once enforces the governance, scan, and notification requirements across every service that uses it. Without templates, Harness becomes another place where pipeline configuration is duplicated.
Canary rollouts require observability
A canary deployment shifts a percentage of traffic to the new version and monitors for errors before shifting the rest. The monitoring step requires actual observability — an error rate metric, a latency metric, a business metric — to evaluate against. We ensure the observability stack is ready before implementing canary deployments.
Delegate configuration matters
The Harness Delegate is the agent running in your environment that executes pipeline steps. Delegate sizing, connectivity, and permissions determine what the pipeline can access. We configure Delegates with the minimum permissions needed and verify connectivity to all pipeline targets before writing the first pipeline.
